Description
The saber is still in use in the French army, but only for ceremonial purposes. This saber, with a straight blade, comes from the an IX Napoleonic heavy cavalry type, but is much more smaller.

These swords and sabers are high quality copies. Blades are made of forged and tempered steel. They might not be used for fencing, though.
