SW584 A la mousquetaire Sword

Description

This design appears around the middle of the 17th cent. The pommel is dated from the end of the century. This sword was widely used by cavalry officers, especially in the royal household.
It was carried by officers, and will become a regulatory pattern in 1767.

Length 109cm, blade 90cm weight 1,2kg.

× These swords and sabers are high quality copies. Blades are made of forged and tempered steel. They might not be used for fencing, though.
