SW578 heavy cavalry saber, 1796

Description

The "Blücher" type saber is well known in its light horse version. There is also one for the heavy cavalry, with a straight and wide blade. The hilt is designed to protect the wearer's hand from the infantry bayonets.

Length 100cm, blade 86cm, 1,350kg.

× These swords and sabers are high quality copies. Blades are made of forged and tempered steel. They might not be used for fencing, though.
