SW569 - Infantry officer sword, ahorse

Description

Made after a light cavalry officer sword pattern, this typical consulate kind saber was used by line infantry officers, when serving ahorse. The blade, often made at Solingen, is engreaved witht floral patterns, and also the imperial crowned eagle. The brass scabbard brackets have a cannon pattern, very often used by officers. Hilt made of wood.

Length 100cm, blade 85cm

× These swords and sabers are high quality copies. Blades are made of forged and tempered steel. They might not be used for fencing, though.
