SW543 Imperial guard infantry saber

Description

As an elite corps, the Imperial Guard had specific weapons made. It was the case for the muskets, but also for the infantry swords. Longer, with an elaborated hilt made of wood and leather as cavalry saber were, this sword designed by Boutet was either made at Versaille (13000 pieces) or Klingenthal (11000 pieces).

Our copy is the Versailles one, as the markings on the hilt pinpoint.

Length 84cm, blade 71cm

× These swords and sabers are high quality copies. Blades are made of forged and tempered steel. They might not be used for fencing, though.
