Description
The dragoon saber is the same one than the saber used by cuirassiers, the only difference being the scabbard, in black leather with brass brackets, instead of iron. This is the An IX type. the blade, almost one meter long, has two parallel grooves, and the hilt provides the wearer's hand with an excellent protection. The blade was produced in Klingenthal's factory, whose name is engraved on it.
The factory's name is engraved on the blade, and stamps and punches are present on the blade and on the hilt.
Length : 112 cm, weigth 1,4kg.

These swords and sabers are high quality copies. Blades are made of forged and tempered steel. They might not be used for fencing, though.
