SW493 Infantry Briquet saber, Napoleonic empire

Description

Most of the infantry units were provided with this short saber. He was called "Briquet" in 1806 by the cavalry, which means lighter. The horsemen found it too short to be used another way ! The hilt is made of solid brass, the scabbard is in cow leather.

Length 75 cm. Weight 1.3kg.

× These swords and sabers are high quality copies. Blades are made of forged and tempered steel. They might not be used for fencing, though.
