SW376 Musketeer rapier

Description

As part of the rapier development thrusting techniques gradually replaced cutting techniques. The hand was therefore exposed, even with a complex swept hilt. The answer was the knuckle bow which provides gracefully effective protection – even for fingers placed on the ricasso.

The grip of this rapier with cup hilt is wrapped with fine wire, and the sword is designed to be wielded with both the left and right hands. The etched pattern, with cross and lily flowers, is the one of the King's musketeers. Our rapier comes with a scabbard.

Length 117cm, blade 96cm. Weight 1270g.

× All these weapons have steel blades, but are not intended for fencing, unless otherwise specified.
