SW099 Greek or italic Kopis

Description

Ancient images, particularly the numerous ceramics depicting warriors, very often show curved swords whose handle pommels are shaped like animal heads. We thus know of feline pommels, wading bird pommels, but also horse pommels, as seen on this beautiful reproduction whose guard is made of bronze. It corresponds to a period ranging from the 5th century BC to the 2nd century BC.
The guard is made of wood and bronze, the blade of steel, and the scabbard of wood covered with leather with patinated brass brackets.

× All these weapons have steel or bronze blades, but are not intended for fencing, unless otherwise specified. It is reminded that the sale of bladed weapons to minors is prohibited, and that even though our reproductions are primarily intended for decoration or historical reenactment, their acquisition is reserved exclusively to adults.
