Description
This steel shield boss (umbo) reinforces the central area of the shield while protecting the hand holding the grip. Its characteristic conical shape, inspired by Germanic weapons from the early centuries AD, with its pronounced point, helps deflect blows. Its slightly antiqued matte black finish recreates the appearance of hand-worked iron.
Made from approximately 2 mm thick steel, it features a wide flange with four holes for mounting. The inner diameter is 12.5 cm, the overall diameter is 20.3 cm, and the depth is 12 cm. Approximate weight: 500 g.
