Description

A phalera is the roman equivalent of our modern medals. They were' given to officers and legionnaries for outstanding and valiant actions. They were weared on harnesses on the armor.

This phalera features Alexander the great, made after a Lysimacchus coin.

Made of tinned brass.Four small loops on the back allow to fix the phalera. 6,9cm diameter.
