The caligae is the roman soldier shoe, used until the second cent, where it was replaced by calcei, except in hot countries.
These ones are plain ones, perfectly fitting for new recruits, or legionnaries who do not fancy the more decorated ones.
Made of one piece of leather, cut to form the typical straps, and sewed on a thick sole, it comes with its hobnails. Made of vegetal tanned leather (to be oiled to be kept soft and healthy). Soles's length 30cm, usually 44/45 size.
