MR101 Praetorian Signum

Description

The ensigns were used to forward the orders, and were the legionaries rally points. They were somehow holy, and the legionaries and auxiliaries would fight to the death to avoid them falling to the foes.

They were highly decorated, with embossed and tinned parts. This reproduction is made after relief to be seen in Albani Palazzo, in Roma. It belonged to the third praetorian cohort. Only the metallic parts are sold.
