HL315 Archer helmet

Description

This type of bascinet is an evolution of the cervelliere, which initially only protected the top of the head, but gradually extended its edges to also cover the sides and the back. The open face still offers a wide field of vision, which explains why it was very popular among archers and crossbowmen. In practice, it was used by all men-at-arms during the 14th and 15th centuries. Its interior is lined with leather and features a chinstrap to keep it securely in place.

Made of 1.2 mm thick steel. Opening: 24 x 18 cm. Leather chinstrap. Weight: approximately 2 kg.

× All the helmets - unless otherwise specified - come without internal padding.
