HL158 Late roman helmet, Berkasovo 2 type

Description

The well-known Berkasovo helmet, with its plembossed brass decorations, and semi precious jewels, was not the only one found at Berkasovo, in Serbia. There is another one, based on the same pattern, but less decorated. It was initially made of steel, silvered and gilded and therefore was probably used by anbother high ranking officer.

Our copy is made after this one, with several differences, for esthetical reasons. It is made of steel plates, covered with tinned brass plates, with rivetted brass decorative band, to have a two colors helmet.

Weigth 3,8kg.

× All the helmets - unless otherwise specified - come without internal padding.
