AC159 Künzig greaves, 2d-3d cent, iron

Description

These iron roman greaves are made after a founding made in Künzig. Their general shape is the 2d-3d century cavalry greaves ones, without the knee protection, which was more an hindrance than something else for a foot soldier. The edges at the top and bottom avoids a blade to slide on the metal and then wound the wearer.

The greaves come with their internal padding (1cm thick) and a leather lace.

Heigth 37 cm, bottom width (between padding) 8cm, calf width 14cm. Weight 1kg per greave. Sold by pair.
