Napoleon's heaviest cavalry, the cuirassier, wore this breastplate from 1803 on. Unlike its austrian conterpart, the napoleonic heavy cavalry body armor also had a backplate. The two halves were fixed together with a strap on the belly, and two scaled shoulder straps. The internal linen padding is hooked two the armor. Made on measurements (see our measurement chart) |
