Greek black-figure attic potteries Although pottery appears several millenia before JC, one immediately thinks to the greek black and red figure potteries when told about antiquity potteries. The black-figure pottery appears in Corinth during the VIIIth century, and was introduced into Attica a generation later, where the technique flourished. It was to be replaced by the red-figure pottery technique at the end of the VIth century, although later exemples do exist. Our potteries are hand painted ones, are made in the EEC, and are high quality reproductions. Three sizes are available : the evocation series' heigth is about 12/15cm, the classical series one 18 to 22 cm and the tradition series measure 25 to 30cm. Other sizes may be produced, just ask if needed. All the potteries being hand painted, slight differences between the model and the one you will receive are normal. |
