| HL114 - Praetorian helmet - 299€ - Pictures Made
after the helmets weared by the praetorian guards to be seen on Claudius'
arch (Musée du Louvre). This helmet was never found during archeological
excavations, but is very often weared by high ranking officials on many
sculptures. |

on the same attic pattern, this helmet is more sober, and will fit,
for example, for a praetorian guard.

of one of the first buggenum typ, found in Xanten, Germany. Its neckguard
points a piece of the end of the first century BC. The crest holder
is the one to be seen on the original piece. |

with crescents, the helmet was found in Hebron, Israël. The two
crossed iron pieces are an improvment of the beginning of the second
century, intendend to reinforce the bowl, probably following Trajanus
dacian wars. This helmet was dated around 130 AD. |

Pictures Found in Holland and to be seen in the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden, this silver plated and gilded helmet certinaly belonged to a high ranking cavalry officer. found with a coin, it is dated 319 AD. Our copy is made of iron, with embossed brass plates. Inner leather padding.

produced helmets. Clearly made after oriental sassanid helmets, with
a noseguard, with irons plates protecting the joinf between cheekguard
and bowl, the holes for the ears indicate an infantry model. Found
in Burgh Castle, England. |

piece, found in Berkasovo, has the same oriental shape than most heavy
helmets. Made of iron, it is plated with embossed brass decorations,
and semi precious jewels. Originally made of gilded silver the plates
of our copy are made of brass, and the jewel of glas. It belonged
to a high ranking officer. |
HL219 - Spangenhelm - IVth Vth centuries - 99€ - Pictures This oriental style and conical helmet appears during the late IIId century, even if some pieces existed during the IId century. This helmet was adopted by all germanic tribes, too. Copy made after a pice found in a grave in Vendel, Germany. Similar helmets were found in Egypt. |
