AG112 Full gauntlets - 140€ - Detail

These gauntlets are fully articulated, the metal plates being rivetted on a leather glove. The fingers are covered by scales, the main joint being protected by gatlings.

Made of 1.0/1.2mm thick steel. Size 8.5/9.0. India made by Deepeeka. Sold in pair.

Gauntlets - XIVth-XVth century - 170€ - Pictures

The gauntlets were a very useful part of the warrior protection, for the weapon's holding hand were particularly exposed. At the beginning a simple glove, the gauntled was, at the end of the middle age made of fully articulated plates.

This one includes leather gloves, on which the metal parts are rivetted. Weigth 2kg.

This gauntlet is called a mitten, after the name of the plate protecting the back of the hand.

AG114 - Arm harness, - XVth century - 350€ - Pictures

Including spaulder, rerebrace, couter and vambrace, this fully articulated arm harness is a typical gothical one. The rerebrace allows a 360° rotation, and the vambrace has an hinge.

Most infantrymen only weared partial body armor, especially archers and arbalestiers. This pair of spaulders fits them ideally.

AG123 : Poleyns XVth-XVIth century - 199€ - Pictures

Another part of the full plate armor, used alone by some infantrymen. Our leg defence includes a knee cop, cuisse and half greaves. A heart shaped wing offer additional protection for the knee. It holds in place trough two leather straps.

Made of 1.8mm thick steel. 35cm from knee to top, 20cm from knee to bottom. 14cm wide at the knee. Hand made in the EEC. Sold in pair.

 

AG122 : Pair of fluted elbow or knee cops - XIIIth-XIVth century - 170€ - Pictures

These knee cops were added during the XIIIth century by the knigths. They were simply weared on the mail chausses. Fluted to increase theire resistance, they are hold into place by a leather strap.

AG121 Gorget - XVth-XVIth century - 99€ - Pictures

This plate defence became popular at the end of the 15th century. Made of two plates, hold together bey strap and buckle.

Heigth 20cm, width 35cm, neck hole 18cmx16cm. Made of 1.0mm thick steel. Hand made in the EEC.



AG120 Bevor with gorget - XVth century - 150€ - Pictures


This body defence protects the bottom of the face and the top of the chest. The mouth piece is articulated, and may be opened when the soldier do not need protection. Ideally used with a sallet.

The typical shape of the cuirass's stomach immediately indicates a 16th/17th century one. Weigth about 5kg.

At the end of the middle age, and with the use of firearms, men at arms began to choose between weigth and protection. It xas so usual to wear only some pieces of defence, like this upper body armor.

Chainmails and gambesons

More than 12 differents suits

Mail is made of interwoven links of iron wire riveted (or closed) together to form a kind of defensive metal cloth, highly resistant to slashing but less effective against piercing or crushing wounds. It appears during the gallic wars in the roman time, and is still in use today, as a protecting working cloth.

AM900 Aketon - 99€


This arming coat was weared under the armor, and was very useful to complete a chainmail suit. Made of thigh linen (our copy is made of cotton), it helped avoid the effects of crushing blows.

Weigth 1.5kg, thickness 1cm. Our copy is a good compromise between weigth and comfort, and is intended for re-enactors purposes.

All these armors are EEC made, with a very high quality level. they are fully functionnal, made of 1.3/1.8mm steel plates.
Delivery time is about 6 monthes, and a 50% payment is required at ordering.

During the XVth century, the knights wear a full plate armor, all plates being fully articulated together.

During the 15th century, a lot of warriors, including noblemen, used to wear only some armor parts, to spare on weigth and cost.

Our half armor includes all the parts of the full one, except leg protections.
