Singly hand made items, high quality level
All the helmets shown in this section are EEC hand made. Metal sheets are 1.5 to 2mm thick. All leather are natural ones, 3 to 4mm thick. Helmet are standart size (58/60), with an internal padding allowing them to be weared immediately.



HL410 - Morion - XVIth-XVIIth centuries

The Morion appears in Germany, in the middle of the XVIth century. It spread then in all europeans armies, and was used either by light cavalry, infantry, musketmen.

Our is already a sophisticated one, with cheekguards, brass brackets, and a tube used to stick feathers at the back.

HL256 - Burgonet -
XVIth century - 310€ -

As its names tells, it was invented in burgundy. Hlafway between a barbuta and a sallet, it has hinged cheekguards, and a crest.

HL411 -
Persian helmet - XVIth century - 420€ - Pictures


This typical shape reminds us of the ottoman empire. the neckguard and the cheekguars are made of several pieces, hold in place by iron wires, in an oriental fashion, which will remain until the 19th century.

Mass produced items
All the copies of this section are mass produced ones, but the rate quality price remains good. Standart size (58/59), sheets 1.5mm thick.


HL403 - Armet (closed helmet), XVIth century - 140€ - Pictures


Following the bacinet, these closed helmets appear during the 16th century. This is the last medieval helmt, protecting neck and head. This one has a mobile visor made of two pieces, to allow the wearer to breathe more easily when not fighting. It is kept closed by a hook. the device at the back was used to fix feathers.

On this later helmet, the visor is made of only one piece. Our copy is made after Maximilan's armor.

With a ribbed bowl, this helmet is typical of the period, too.


HL401 - Engreaved comb Morion- XVI/XVIIth centuries - 170 € - Pictures

The Morion appears in Germany, in the middle of the XVIth century. It spread then in all europeans armies, and was used either by light cavalry, infantry, musketmen.

This copy is richly engreaved, and has no cheekguards, as it was often the case.
