Katanas and Wakizashis

All the sabers of this section are intended for cutting practice. Blade are forged et fully tempered, cutting edge having a HCR60 harness, back HRC40. Paul Chen made.

Be extremely careful when using our sabers not to get injured. Using them should only allowed under proper supervision, or by people trained
in japanese martial arts. Be specially careful not to cut the scabbard - and the hand holding it - with the blade when unsheating it.


SW711 - Katana Batto - 260€ - Pictures

This katana is specially conceived for cutting exercises.
Tsuba and tsuka are made in the japanese way but with modern materials.

Length : 100cm, Blade's length : 69cm, weigth 1050g (without scabbard).


SW712 - Wakizashi Batto - 210€ - Pictures

This wakizashi makes a perfect Daisho with the SW711 katana.


Length : 70cm, Blade's length : 51cm, weigth 680g (without scabbard).


SW713 - Katana Batto traditionnal - 350€ - Pictures

This katana has the same kind of tempered and forged blade than the first ones, but is made in a much more traditionnal way. Genuine rayskin is used for the tsuka, the tsuba is made of steel, the hilt wrap is specially developped for its gripping qualities, two pegs are used to hold hilt and blade together, for maximum scurity.

Iaito

SW710 - Iaito - 350€ - Pictures

This is a practice weapon, for Iaido. The saber is made in the japanese traditional way, with rayskin on the hilt, wrapping made of silk, but the blade is made of an Aluminium alliage, for security purposes.
Not fitting for cutting exercices.

Length : 100cm, Blade's length : 77cm, weigth 900g (without scabbard).


Tai Chi

SW714 - Tai-chi sword - 130€ - Pictures

This sword is made for tai chi practice. The steel blade is forged and fully tempered, allowing to be bent at 90° without damage. Scabbard
made of resin, with iron brackets.

Length : 93cm, Blade's length : 76cm, weigth 630g (without scabbard).


World War II, Japanese army sabers

SW701 - Imperial japanese army, officer saber - 250€

The scabbard is made of iron, with brass barckets. The ring is used to wear the saber vertically, unlike the samourai way of wearing the katana.The hilt is leather covered, cotton wrapped.

SW702 - Imperial japanese army, petty officer saber - 220€

The scabbard is this time made of painted iron. The hilt simulates the traditionnal one, but is made of molted metal, painted to give the impression there is a tsuka-ito.

This weapon was intended for use, therefore the shape of the balde. Our copies are not sharp.
