Improwing the italic D Helmet
Beginning - First Prototype - Corrections - Second one


The project began at IWA, Germany, in march 2006. We discussed of an item list to improve : one gallic H helmet (the old gallic G one was in fact nearer a H than a G), a new pompei gladius, a new mainz gladius, a republican sword, improving the pugio, a new scutum, a situla. Of course, the italic D was among the items.

So, we sent the first plans, drawing and commentaries on march 22th. Some examples here

We received pictures of the first prorotype on may 11th. Here they are.

A lot of work was made, but some work had to be done, though. We sent therfore another set of informations and pictures.

Another prototype, some time later (may 22th)... and another set of informations, for the last changes
June, 9th... we receive a new set of pictures of the Italic D. This time, goal reached...
